What is Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is the oldest fraternal organization in the world. It is dedicated to promoting improvement in the character of its members. A Mason is taught to be a good citizen. To be of good character. To care for those less fortunate, and to give back to his community.

Is Freemasonry a Religion?
Freemasonry is not a religion, nor is it a substitute for religion. The fraternity requires it's members to have a belief in a Supreme Being, but the fraternity itself is not affiliated with any religion, and men of all faiths are represented in the fraternity. Religion is not discussed at lodge meetings.

Who is Patmos-Solomon's Lodge?
Patmos-Solomon's Lodge is one of the oldest Masonic lodges in the State. We were chartered in 1822 and for the past 189 years have been “making the good men of Howard County better men.” Like most lodges in the State, we are a very diverse lodge, we are made up of men from different age groups, from different religions, nationalities and education levels. As Freemasonry regards no man for his worldly wealth or honor, we “meet on the level” meaning that what ever station you hold in life, as Masonic Brothers, we are all equal.
